Jamie Anastas, PhD

Dr. Jamie Anastas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery and in the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine. Research in the Anastas lab focuses on pediatric high grade glioma (HGG), a class of highly malignant tumors that often develop resistance to therapy. A major goal of her research is to discover and optimize combination therapies for HGG and other pediatric brain tumors with a focus on small molecules targeting chromatin and transcriptional regulation. A second major research goal of the Anastas lab is to develop strategies for targeting the epigenome to prime HGG tumors for enhanced CAR-T cell targeting.
